If not, boy, are you in for a treat!
Chef Madison Cowan first gained the nation’s attention when he was a contender on the Food Network program, Chopped. If you watched him compete, not only to win his first round but also all of his rounds on Chopped Champions, you probably wanted to eat his food really, really badly. I know I did. Every spice had a purpose; every arrangement of food was an art display. He truly was inspirational, this formerly homeless man turned father and chef.
Now Chef Madison has several other things for us to check out, including a cookbook called Soul Food. I want this book so badly! If I can learn to cook half as well as he did on the show with the book, it will be money very well spent. He is also a judge on the new Food Network program Extreme Chef, which I’m not that much of a fan of—though I’m willing to watch since he’s on it. Of course, he’s not hard on the eyes, either, and his accent is super cute! But even more than that, I think Chef Madison brings a perspective of cooking and a new presence that we’ve need for a long time on food shows. I really look forward to seeing more from him (and would love to see him have his own show.).
